Since 1991, Dr. Barry Gritz has offered a private psychiatric practice in Houston, Texas. He treats patients of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults.  Dr. Gritz received his undergraduate degree from Queens College in Queens, New York. He then attended and graduated from Baylor College of Medicine, where he received his medical degree.

Dr. Gritz has experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, including positions as Medical Director of a geropsychiatric unit and a child adolescent psychiatric unit. He also served as Director of Case Management at MHMRA. Dr. Gritz has also been part of the medical staff at the University of Houston, where he provided psychiatric evaluations and case management for college and graduate students.
